Any idea this many calories this would burn?.

Hi
I was wondering if any of you would know how many calories my largest exercise would burn..... Please note this is not an exercise I would choose haha. My 2 1/2 year-old has decided that she can escape her bed and I can spend an hour at nap time and bedtime lifting her any putting her back to bed. Sometimes 40 times!!! Thinking if I had an idea how many calories 10 minutes would burn I could add as many times as required. Hopefully I won't be adding it for long and she gets bored very quickly. Think it many be because her baby brother has just moved to his own room.
Oh the joys but exercise is exercise right???

No one can guess accurately how many calories you are burning doing unique activities like this.
As a mother of young children, your base activity level should probably just be set higher to account for the exertion involved in parenting.1 -

Well if you really want I guess you could probably consider this a form of weight lifting... And I think that weight lifting can burn anywhere from 7-10 calories per minute (not exactly sure)... So say you burn 7cals each minute for 10mins...that would can be at least 70-100 calories maybe... I would round down though to ensure you aren't overcounting calories burnt since activities like this are never consistent.0

lol, that's tiresome, funny, and cute.
I personally would just focus on regular structured forms of exercise and think of that as exercise.0 -
This was meant in a light hearted way. I do not plan to make this part of my fitness regime although I am getting a little ministering on arms and legs. Thsnk s for your comments.0
