I'm trying to learn Deutsch, so I'd really like some German speaking friends. Please friend me :) I do not speak Deutsch very well at all but it would be great to speak at least a little with some of you! Maybe we can start a German speaking group here? Ja?

Oh and I'm not NEW, I've been here a while...just looking for some German speaking friends!

I lived in Germany for 23 years and learned German out of necessity. May I ask how you are learning? Are you doing a class in school or trying on your own? For me being immersed in the culture was the way to do it.

Hello, My husband is from Germany, and we have been married for 9 years now. I have taught my self a little German. I bought cassettes and DVDs, and my mother in law sent me kindergarten books. I feel the best place to start is at the bottom you know colors, numbers, hunde, katze. The spelling and the words are huge! I agree with GinniC being immersed in the culture is the best way to learn. You need to hear the dialect and the language so purchase most things audio so you learn pronunciation properly. My husband would always make fun of me when I try to speak it. Have you ever heard German with a Tennessee draw on it? lmao!.........Good luck with your adventure!!!
  • Hallo, ich bin Spanierin, bin aber in Deutschland aufgewachsen und lebe seit sieben Jahren wieder in Spanien. Ganz lieben Gruss und "friend" mich wenn Du magst! Freu mich schon. Cris

Rosetta Stone which is, for me, the best way to learn :)
