Anyone using a kettlebell? I absolutely love mine, but wondering if any one had any good video workouts to try. Looking to learn more things!

I just started using a kettleball. How are you entering your workout under the exercise tab? As far as a workout, I did squats and arm lifts and single and double arm swings. I would like a kettleball DVD. It is an awesome workout.

I forgot to mention that you can you tube some workouts and techniques.
  • I had to create my own exercise. i looked it up, and almost every site says you burn 20 calories a minute ( ie. 400/20 min.) my sister said that bob harper has a good video and so does jillian michaels. but jillian was too advanced (as a lot of her stuff seems to be in my oppinion) hope this help:happy: s!!

I would be very skeptical of anything that tells you an exercise burns 20 cal/minute.

YouTube is a great resource for ideas for kettlebell exercises, but the most common are probably the swing and the snatch. You can either do for reps or do as cardio intervals for time. If you want to be a total badass, try Turkish Get-Ups. I advise trying one with no weight at all first lol.

Enter the Kettlebell is a great book resource for kb work.

I did Jillian Michael's Shred it With Weights this morning. It's an awesome Kettlebell workout. Got in on Amazon for about $8. There are level 1 and Level 2 workouts and modified workouts for beginners. I was dripping in sweat for that 25 minute workout. I logged it at Circuit Training because its resistance training and cardio in one.
  • I have used KB and my husband got hooked on it after me. I trimmed down a ton when i was doing it. He was recently certified in it and is going to teach it soon. He likes Jeff Martone videos on youtube, and Bob Harper. There are a few different KB styles, so just remember that the swings and technique might be slightly different with each teacher/ trainer. Oh yeah, Tracy Reifkind is another gal online that has tips and what not.

my favorite is the kettle bell swing.. and I have been using the danskin video, but I think I'm going to buy the bob harper video soon. I feel like I have toned up a lot in the past 4 months by using mine. I still use a 10lb one. I don't like the texture of the jillian micheals kettlebells. I have the danskin one right now and I know my heart beats way faster doing the kettlebell for 30 mintunes than my treadmill.
  • bump...I just ordered Kettlenetics from Amazon today, looking forward to getting started!
