Healthy Version of Ranch Dressing
If you are like me and you're trying to watch your calorie intake and you miss Ranch dressing so bad, this is a great alternative. I just experimented today and it tastes SO good.
1 1/2 containers (around 5 oz size) of Stonyfield Oikos - Greek Nonfat Yogurt (you could probably use any brand of greek yogurt)
1 envelope of Bill's Hidden Valley - Ranch Mix (sold in the salad dressing aisle)
Mix well in resealable container and keep refrigerated.
Now I can't stop eating raw veggies.
Should make approximately 7 servings at only 28 calories per serving with 4 carbs and 3 proteins and ZERO fat. Compare that to Hidden Valley Ranch at 150 calories for two tablespoons and 2 carbs, NO protein and a whopping 16 grams of fat!

How Big is a serving???
FYI Bolthouse makes a very nice collection of Yogurt based dressings that are 20 or 25 calories per tablespoon.

Well, I figured it to be about 1.5 oz servings since it's about 8 oz of yogurt plus the package. Usually i measure very carefully when putting together recipes on here but this stuff was too gooey to do (sticking to the measuring spoon)0

Thanks for the tip, i'll check out the Bolthouse too.0

I can also vouch for the Bolthouse dressings. The blue cheese and the honey mustard are my favorite! As for the ranch I also mix dry hidden valley ranch seasoning with Greek yogurt (I prefer Chobani non-fat plain). I buy the dry ranch seasoning on Amazon in the big canister because I use it for chicken, dips and popcorn!0

Thanks for the tip!
It's probably even better than the fat free ranch that I've been buying which is full of sodium and sugar.0 -
The olde cape cod dressings are excellent too. fat free and not high in calories. Love the balsamic vinaigrette.0
