I sure do! I haven't cut anything out of my diet, I just make sure it's within my calorie goal.

I do too! It's the only way to make this work! And eating all those things I love is even better now than it was before I lost weight, because I enjoy it completely. I love food! :) hahahaha

Me too, for the most part, and if I do go over 1 serving of something, it's usually still under my daily calorie goal. Even though my macros are lower on carbs and sugar, I eat a (very small and very dark) square of chocolate and fruit almost every day, which has kept my sweet tooth under control.

I try to eat really healthy foods ("clean" is the term I guess?) but I go by a rule of "if I'm going to be miserable eating this, I'm not eating it like this" which applied to not enough low-fat mayo in my tuna salad today, so I added an extra tablespoon.

yes I do! I have found that since I drink more water now and not sodas and sweet tea, my taste is diffrent. I don't need as much to curb my desire for something. Things I used to like are often too sweet or too salty.

Oh yeah! I eat within my calories and have everything I want to eat, just not in unlimited quantity. I also exercise a whole lot, so I have more calories to spend on the things I want to eat. I don't like feeling deprived or being hungry all the time, so I make sure I won't be.

I eat in moderation!!! There is no way I could make this a permanent lifestyle change if I didn't!!

    Totally agree!

Yep-had Chile Relleno beans and rice for dinner. I've just learned I don't need to order the 2 chile plate with rice and beans and eat the whole freakin thing! I got the same plate, gave 1 chile to my hubby and ate about 1/3 the rice and beans. Got my Mexican fix and probably saved about 600 calories or more!

I eat in moderation. Not getting to eat what I like really has killed all of my diets.

Yep, I try to eat healthy, but you know what, there are some things I enjoy, and I'm not giving them up completely. It's not worth it.

Staying within the calorie/fat/protein/carb goals is what works. As long as I stay within the calories, and close on the others, then I go for it. In fact, it's freeing--I don't feel guilty having a treat if I know I can "afford" it on my calorie budget!

That being said, over the long haul making good choices most of the time helps. I've learned that if I have that 500-plus calorie slice of cheesecake, I get awfully hungry at the end of the day when I've run out of calories! So I make each choice wisely, with my eyes wide open.

Those diets that take all of one category (no carbs, or no refined flours/sugars, etc) work. I've done them before. But they are not sustainable over the long haul. As soon as I added the "forbidden" foods back in, the weight came back.

This time, by counting calories, I've sustained my 40 lb loss for over a year. (over 2 years since I started MFP!)

    So yes, moderation works!

Absolutely! I cannot eat "rabbit food" for the rest of my life and I don't buy into "clean eating." I eat what I want as long as it fits into my calories and I'm close to my macros. Today I had a delicious pizza dip for dinner and it fit well into my calories and macros. Sure, I could be healthier if I ate salmon and steamed asparagus instead, but IMO, that's no way to live! If I dislike it I won't stick with it.
