Has anyone here tried Lipozene?

My roommate (and best friend) brought some home today; a special 2-pack that was $20 and she asked me to try it with her. I'm skeptical about pretty much every diet pill. I've never tried them, so I guess I don't really know if they even do anything. I'm sure most of you have seen the commercials, and are familiar with it, but if you're not, the commercial says it's specifically for people who need to lose a lot of weight. Apparently it attacks body fat. I guess I'm kind of hesitant to try it, mainly because I don't know of any side effects it might have and I really don't want to deal with those. Has anyone on here tried it or know anyone who tried it? Are there side effects? Does it even WORK? Feedback is much appreciated!

It's just glucomannan, so basically a fiber supp. It does nothing to attack bodyfat, the maker of it, Obesity Research Institute LLC, has been charged by the FTC for making false and unsubstantiated claims and forced to pay $1.5 million in penalties0

I did and nothing! I've tried a couple types and they just don't work so don't waste your money (there is no miracle pill). If they worked everyone would be taking them! All that works is healthy eating and exercise!0

Attacks body fat??!!   :bigsmile:0

I think it said the average user only lost 3 lbs of fat within the 12 week trial. I can lose 3 lbs of fat by getting off my couch to change the channel from their commercial instead of using the remote :laugh:0

Oh boy...the hustle never ends....
Here is just another scam to dupe people into digging deeper into their wallets.
I am seriously thinking of getting in on some such con game:glasses:
It's just too easy....0 -
I tried it and it did NOTHING. No magic pills no easy way - exercise and eat less is th only thing that really works. If you read the fine print on all the "miracle diet pills/drinks" they all say results are when used with a lower calorie diet and exercise.

I'm sorry but I'm just going to have to say - I laugh my head off every time I see those commercials bc they look so fake and stupid and I wonder if there is anyone gullible (putting it nicely) enough to buy that crap. But apparently there is or they wouldn't still be selling it. They say they're for people who need to lose a lot of weight to make the sound like they really work. It's hogwash.
Sorry sweetie - there is no quick fix or magic pill to weight loss. If there was - nobody would be fat!0 -
My chocolate monster ice cream attacks body fat when I hit my macros and stay in a deficit...0

i tried it a few years ago, and like every other diet pill out there....it did nothing
the only reason this one sticks out in my mind is that they say you should drink a ton of water when you take it......and one time i didnt and had a hard time breathing.....it felt like it the capsule had gotten stuck in my esophagus and erupted and then the stuff in it expanded. for hours after, no matter how much water i drank i coudlnt swallow it entirely and was miserable0 -
It's just a fiber pill.0

Right??! lol I hate those commercials. And she just asked me if I'd split the cost of it with her. It would only be $10, but I don't think I'm going to waste my money now! Thanks for the responses everyone!0 -

Yep, that. I tried it once before I saw the light of proper fat loss. For something that's essentially a fiber supplement it didn't even really make me feel full or anything.0 -
Good choice not to do it. Tell your friend to be sure to drink EXTRA water. We have seen some cases of bowel obstruction with these types of pills!0

Acg67 is right. the so called lipozene is one that I thought is a complete spam. i research drugs and medical diseases and found this one to be the most laughable. it has an active ingredient that is a FIBER...yes a fiber, like the one you get when you take psyllium husk. As Acg67 said it's called glucomannan. if this is something you want to try it is a LOT cheaper to go to the nearest health store and purchase this versus Lipozene. Basically the way it works is when you take it with adequate amounts of water (emphasis on adequate amounts of water) it "expands" in your stomach. Have you ever put water into a psyllium husk powder and given it 2 seconds? what happens? a thicker substance that you literally have to eat with a spoon because it is no longer a fluid. Anyways so this stuff reacts with water the same way thus making you feel fuller and eating less...if you are currently over eating...tada you will start to notice some weight loss, if you are already eating less then probably may not be as effective. as far as it attacking fat...well fiber has been known to reduce bile reuptake in the intestine and removes it out of the body in your stool. When the bile is absorbed, your liver is forced to make more bile salts by tapping into your cholesterol stores....long story short, if you're body is needing to continuously pull from your cholesterol stores then you will see effects of lower cholesterol numbers. Hence why when you seek how to lower cholesterol naturally one of the things that comes is eat more fiber...or grains! preferably soluble fiber. In conclusion if you are curious about Lipozene, try glucomannan. then try psyllium husk prior to each major meal.
-best.
BTW the emphasis on take glucomannan with adequate water is because if you don't it has the potential to become lodge in your esophagus and slowly expand, thus becoming a choking hazard for adults along with other stomach issues.. ...nothing scary just drink 8 oz of water with it....not a sip.0 -
