so i started seriosly at this again on january 1st (after xmas) i took up running, spinning and swimming. i managed to loose 4lbs the first week then 2lbs and today nothing.
i did go to the cinema on wednesday and i did have some chewy sweets. but i cant see hwat that would have hindered a platue?? as i worked them off.
im hoping its just a little week were it hasnt moved and will show next week.
i know the scales isnt everything but for meif i dont see at least a diffrence i get a little discoraged.
i did weigh then go F***k it and had toast with butter for breakfast but then stopped myself after it and thought im doing this for me and what is a massive blow out going to help....off i went to spinning class and am having fishcakes and salad for tea
sorry for the rant but i feel if i tell someone and someone listens i can shrug it off and get on with it lol
thanks for listening

Good for you for getting back to it so quickly! I always have one week a month where the scale either doesn't move, or like two weeks ago, went up a half a pound. It's so frustrating after all the work put in to see that. But the key is to stick with it. This week I lost 3 pounds. Our bodies get cranky sometimes and don't want to let the weight or water or whatever it is go. But if you keep going you will see the positive results :flowerforyou:0

6lb in 3 weeks is a huge loss if you dont have much to lose, your body can't support large deficits as you get smaller, you should be aiming for no more than 0.5 lb a week and keep your net cals above 1200.
You need to eat 3500 cals above maintenance to gain a pound of fat, so it's not physically possible to gain just from a few sweets.
I can't see your diary but check sodium levels and try to avoid processed foods which can cause water retention.
Try taking measurements - if you are exercising a lot you could be losing inches rather than pounds, remember your size is what everyone sees, nobody but you knows the number on the scale. would you rather be your current weight and a size smaller, or your current size and 5 lbs less?!0 -
hey.. sometimes that happens... & for me.. scales dint budge for 2 weeks.. and the following 3rd week.. I was 2 pounds down... so learnt waiting & not weighing very often is the key Good luck with it..0

You are working so hard and it will pay off, just be patient. Six pounds is fantastic, enjoy the journey and be proud of your choices. You came on here instead of eating your way through it. You have been eating healthy and working out. You have got this. And now you have a challenge to really motivate you.

I know your frustration! I am having that today too. I worked extra hard and expected at least 2 pounds. FIVE ozs. bleh. At least you are exercising like mad - that's some good healthy lifestyle choices. And you may be gaining muscle, which is heavier (from what I'm told)...so your body is changing - the scales just don't show some of the good changes. That you have kept moving is inspirational to the rest of us.:)
Also - as long as you stay under your MFP calories, can't you eat what you want? What's wrong with toast and butter? - or a few sweets now and again if you keep to your calorie count. This is a lifestyle change, something you can do forever...I say if you want toast with butter - eat it! Just means salad for dinner :0
