??Question for my MPF friends so being as I did consume more calories than the 1540 recommended when i first started MPF and I felt more energetic and able to do 45 minutes of straight elliptical should I adjust my goals inputting my new weight to adjust my calorie intake in the goals section and higher activity level. Could that be why I have been feeling so tired not enough calories??

If your weight is dramatically different than what is used to calculate your calorie intake then I would adjust it. You want to make sure you're getting enough calories in to sustain you. If that's not the case, try eating food that will give you more energy. Higher protein or carbs. I know eating protein bars right after I run is essential for me. I hope this helps a little.0

So this probably doesn't completely answer your question, but I personally make sure to update my calorie intake every week when I weight in so that way I'm making sure that I'm aiming to the proper amount of calories for the upcoming week. I'm not sure what you have your weight loss goals set at or your activity level but you might wish to consider changing those as well.0

Yep, if you set your weight loss goal to aggressive, MFP is willing to suggest goal calories under your BMR.
Please look up what BMR means if you don't know in detail.
That is a bad idea.
Deficit calories should come from only maintenance calories, not basic body life calories.
And if you aren't feeding your exercise, that is making you dip too, remember your goal calories already had deficit in it, even if too extreme.
So check my suggestion, change goal calories, increase your real daily activity (not the setting), and eat a snack before/after good workouts.0 -
Thanks Yes it does help I did read about the BMR and at first I was pretty sedentary, and I have dropped 12 pounds since starting , I know I don't feel like I am starving I do feel full, it's the work out that at first after ten minutes on the elliptical i would feel woozy and be like I can't do more...0

You know of course, if you really started this in January when you joined, that those 12 lbs is water or muscle weight you have dropped. You could NOT burn that much fat that quickly.
That would be 2000 calorie a day deficit and it all really coming from fat, nothing else. Which would not be possible.0 -
I know this, I also know that of the twelve pounds I have dropped i've fluctuated twice and gained back between my regular weigh ins. I started MPF in January but not the working out. that I started back in December.0

This sounds like your body has partially lowered your metabolism to deal with eating less than you used to need, but still hasn't dealt with you actually needing to exercise.
I'm sure if you push through it, you'll start losing again for a bit. Then stall again as your metabolism lowers again to deal with not enough energy.
Want to keep going that direction?0 -
I'll get it figured out. It's been a while since I dealt with this thanks for the input.0
