I just dont seem to be loosing...
i have been following shred and im on L3 day 2, and can really feel a difference but the scales arent moving at all which is slightly annoying!!
I think i eat too many carbs as my diet tends to be full of them, also i dont deprive myself of a sweetie i just make sure its within my daily allowance, do you think i need to cut out some of theese things completely??

dont weight yourself every day it is very frustrating
keep closer watch over your calories. eat less. carbs and candies dont matter, calories matter.0 -
Take your measurements if you haven't already. Sometimes the scale won't move but inches are lost. You may be losing fatbut gaining muscle. Muscle weights the same as fat however it takes up less room hence the scale staying the same but measurements going down.0

With 9lbs as your goal I'm going to bet you're already in or near a healthy BMI. I'm also going to bet you've got your weight loss set to 2 pounds per week for fast results. Only with that few pounds to lose, you cannot lose it that fast. My advice is to ditch the scale, bump your calorie goal to .5, add cardio exercise right after your 30DS every other day, and eat your exercise calories.
Yes, EAT your exercise calories. The hottest, fittest women on this site eat tons of food and work out hard to get the bodies they have.0 -
I only lost about 6 pounds on 30DS, but lost a lot of inches and toned up. Also, when you start a new workout, your muscles retain water, which can cause a gain or at least hold your weight steady. After finishing I lost a couple more pounds because of that. It's great that you're doing the shred, you should have some good results. Just keep it up!0

Carbs will make you hold water. How much are you eating? Females tend to be a little less sensitive to carb depletion so you might want to lower them. Depends on your workout though. Of course salty foods will as well. Plus you could be inflammed, like many people, when they try to workout too much, if you're working out alot. This will make you hold water as well. This comes from the industry in general making people think they need to workout all of the time to lose weight. Most people overtrain and under-eat which turns the whole shabang into stress, which raises cortisol which slows metabolism as well., and around and around we go. But all in all, don't worry about the scale. I'm a fan of weighing every day. But you don't need to worry about what you see everyday. Especially being female. You all can hold water easier in many situations. Darn that pesky ability to populate the earth!
