EPIC FAIL

So i found onederland last year. It was a beautiful place I go to 190 pounds and stalled out. this december i hit 197. Figured the holiday gain, but now I'm up to 201. Goodbye onederland.... this is so frustrating. I know that if i start like I did I can easily drop 10 pounds in 2 weeks. ( I usually carry about 10 pounds of what I call "fluff" the easy stuff to lose) But then I'm back near that dreaded 190. I suppose i should eat this one pound at a time (metophorically speaking of course. I've been eating a bit too freely already obviously)
I just feel like I have completely failed myself. I talked with my husband at least and he has agreed with part of our tax return i can buy an eliptical machine. That will help. I will be getting up and running on it at least 45 minutes a day and that will really help. But that time is just coming to slow for me. I need to do something now.
Thinking its time I call in the calvary... Gonna talk to some ladies at work and perhaps start "The biggest loser: Office Edition " gotta get rid of office *kitten* somehow.

Don't look at it in such negative terms. You may not have succeeded yet in your goals, but it's not a fail either. Chalk it up to a lesson learned and move on. Beating yourself up will not help. Get back on track and make the necessary changes. You can do this!0

Hang in there! Your fail is NOT epic. You gained a few pounds, and over the holidays to boot, many of us did. The SUCCESS part of this is that you are ready to grab this bull by the horns now and beat it into submission. Let's hear a WAR CRY!!!!0

U just have start....u have ur plan for later.... but do something today, no matter how small....0

I aree! ^ Your fail isn't epic! It's not even a FAIL. It's a setback that you're going to conquer. We've all had those rotten times & struggles with trying to change our lifestyle. My great setback was "The Great Strawberry Chocolate Disaster of 2010". haha. That's actually what my husband & I call it! I was 23 lbs down in 2010 (before I got pregnant with my son) & I wanted chocolate in a baaaaad way. I found some chocolate chips, heated them in the microwave & dipped fresh strawberries in them until I was crazy on sugar! It wasn't funny then but it's certainly funny to us now. Needless to say I don't keep chocolate chips on hand anymore. LOL0

Thank you everyone! I should always remember my own advice, Its only failure when you have given up. And I still have a lot of fight left in me and a plan. And only those who fail to plan plan to fail0

We did the biggest loser at my work right before the holidays. It was 8 weeks long. Every Tuesday morning, we would weigh in. We kept track of % lost instead of pounds (because we're all different sizes) on a poster board in our break room. You had to be honest! Every week we would pay $1. If you gained, you had to pay an extra $.25 per pound. At the end, who ever lost the biggest percentage won the money. Which ended up being about $97...good Christmas shopping money! It was great, because we all watched what each other ate as much as our own plate! Good motivation!0

Have you considered the P.I.N.K. Method? www.pinkmethod.com I've been on it for 2 weeks and have lost 8 lbs so far and am moving into the next phase. I really like this because it's all about walking you through permanent lifestyle change and learning a new way of thinking. Comes with the workout DVD's too. I realize that MFP can provide much of the same information for free, however, what I find unique about PINK is that it's very much about education. You learn exactly WHY you should be eating specific foods. IE: Beets are great for bringing off water weight in addition to the nutrients provided. I HATE beets, but suddenly want to learn to like them now that I am educated on the purpose they serve in my body. LOL. It's also designed to ensure you do NOT plateau, it's geared to keep recharging your metabolism to get you over the humps as you get healthy. Gotta say, I feel even better physically doing PINK than I did plugging away on my own at MFP.0

^ I think people should do what works for them. A lot of people frown on one program after another, but if you are happy & healthy & finding success then this is obviously the best choice for you. Congrats on your weight loss!0 -
Is it too cold where you are to get out and walk? Starting off with a simple workout might be a good thing and you can work up from there. :0)0
