Eating Healthy and portion control is the way to lose and keep it off forever.0

I attended an education session for this. I thought that if someone was very obese and had diabetic issues, it would be a good place to start. But I don't think this is a cure-all. They do not allow exercise and it is far too limiting. How does a program like this help you with a lifestyle change?
I've found that just using MFP and exercising is the best way. You learn what you need to eat, get in shape and stronger through exercise, and truly change the way you're living your life instead of eating program food and being completely limited.
What happens when the program ends an you go back to your "normal" life? How will you know what you need to do to keep up the changes? I'm sure they offer some sort of support but for the cost (which I felt was really expensive), why not use something like MFP for free, and put the money towards a gym membership or personal trainer.0 -

This is exactly what I was thinking. All these diet plans (Atkins, Nutrisystem, etc) never teach you how to eat properly. Rather, you focus all your energy on how to eat within certain boundaries. When you stop the plan, you are left without skills to maintain.0
