Super Bowl Party

Options
Hi everyone,
As you all know, the Super Bowl is this weekend. It's my year to host our family's annual super bowl party. I need to HELP. I have no idea on what to cook that won't compromise my progress. In the past, I've had everything from pizza, sandwiches, wings, beer, liquor, various dips, and barbeque. I want this party to be a success, and I'm willing to try different recipes. Looking forward to your responses.

Buffalo Chicken Dip always goes a long way when we have parties:

2 cups of cook chicken breast shreded
8 ounces of cream cheese (I use low fat)
1/3 cup of ranch dressing (i have heard of people using blue cheese too, but my husband is not a fan)
1/4 cup of your favorite hot sauce (we like Franks)
1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese

Mix ingredients together except for 1/2 cup of cream cheese.

Either throw it all into a crock pot and cook on low for about an hour or put in a casserole dish and bake for 30 minutes at 350.

The last ten minutes of cooking add remaining cheese on top.

    Serve with tortillas or vegetables.

We do turkey meatballs that we season ourselves. Always a hit, low in fat too!

All you need is lean ground turkey, an egg, your favorite seasoning (salt, pepper, garlic powder and whatever else you love). Shape and roast in the oven.

Serve with your favorite bbq sauce (we do Everett and Jones), lite ranch or your favorite homemade sauce.

    Veggies and hummus
Whole grain tortilla chips and fresh salsa and guac
    Fresh Fruit and Fruit dip

Also, theres some really great "wonton" recipes under the Receipe posts that would be great for party apps! You could just do a search for "wonton"?

The crockpot buffalo chicken wing dip is ALWAYS a hit! :)

I'm going to do the skinny taste Asian Flank Steak Skewers, some oven roasted potatoes, some fat free brownies (in the shape of footballs with icing for the laces), ranch pretzels (take a bag of pretzels, drizzle with 1/4c oil and mix with a package of Hidden Valley Ranch seasoning. Bake at 375 for 15 minutes), and maybe some turkey meatballs.

    I make a Avocado/Tomatillo dip

    Dip:
1/2 pound tomatillos (about 5 large)
    1/2 cup chopped onion
    2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
1 teaspoon finely chopped seeded jalapeño pepper
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1/3 cup plain greek yogurt
2 ripe peeled avocados, seeded and coarsely chopped

    Preparation
To prepare dip, discard husks and stems from tomatillos. Place tomatillos in a small saucepan; cover with water. Bring to a boil; cook 5 minutes or until tender. Cool to room temperature. Place tomatillos, onion, cilantro, jalapeño, and 1/2 teaspoon salt in a blender or food processor, and process until smooth. Add greek yogurt and avocado; process until smooth. Serve with pita chips (or wahtever else you like).
