Easter in Vegas - Diet does disappearing act

Totally blown it this weekend. We went to Vegas over Easter and oh man....the buffets, the dinners, the food! I was hoping to keep a little more control over my eating but that lasted like half a day. I ended up just giving up and enjoying figuring I'll jump back on the dieting wagon when I get home.
I hope I did enough walking to tone down the damage. I forgot to weigh in today before breakfast but I guess I"ll see tomorrow.

In the back of my head I have a bad little voice that says I should have waited to start dieting until after this trip. My better conscience, however, is proud that I started 2 weeks ago and lost 4 pounds before I went and knows I can go back to the dieting after this.

It's OK Cami! You're home and back on track, don't look back...when I over indulge I don't get back on the scale till I've been practicing healthy eating for a week or two...take care!

Even though I royally blew it over the Easter holiday, I managed not to GAIN any weight, but I didn't lose any either.:grumble: Like someone else said, I'm not going to attempt to weigh myself until I have been back on track for a week or so.

If you think it's hard to visit Vegas and diet think about how hard it is to live here and diet! With people coming in every freakin' week to visit it seems like I live at buffets :flowerforyou:

Wow..that would definitely be hard! Keep up the good work!

mydogmesa2: I did not make it to the egg hunt...we left our 9 month old with grandma and grandpa and spent an un-easterlike Easter drinking, eating, gambling (I learned Blackjack!) and pretty much having some romantic couple time without the wee one for once (although we sure missed him).

I did weigh in today, just to see...and I didn't GAIN anything, Yay! So maybe all that walking DID help out (I sure have enough blisters from it :ohwell: ). I guess I also did try to keep things down to a reasonable level and didn't go up for 2nds or 3rds at the buffets (althought I HAD to check out the desserts-my weakness  -I tried to keep that down to 2 or 3 smaller things instead of a bit of everything!). At least I"m back on track now and the weekend away didn't make things much worse...at least I still feel like I"m going somewhere (ie. down).
