Crockpot recipes??? What's your favorite?
We all know that part of the battle for eating healthy foods is planning your meals. As a bachelor that works all day and has class all night, coming home to a hot dinner only happens when I put a roast in the crockpot (insert crowd reaction: awwwwwww)...anyways! I'm looking for some new recipes! What do you like to make?

LMAO.....awww......I have a few I took from another forum that I posted below....
One I did the other day, super easy.
Chicken wings
Onions
Bell peppers
Fresh mushrooms (Im sure cream of mushroom is better)
No oil or water, maybe even add lemon slices. I seasoned with pepper, rosemary, and lemon pepper seasoning. Leave on for about 4-5 hours and the meat is falling off the bone. OMg....it was so yummy.
Here are more....

slow cooker apples!
5 large apples, whichever kind you prefer. I usually buy gala or some other red kind. make sure it is nice and firm
brown sugar
raisins
butter
cinnamon
walnuts or pecans
apple/or orange juice
peel apple, but leave half inch strip around entire apple (helps apple from splitting while cooking). core it and scoop out some flesh. mix together melted butter, cinnamon, brown sugar, and raisins. sometime I add dried pineapple and coconut flakes. spoon it into the cored apple.
pour an eighth inch amount of apple juice into bottom of crockpot (helps prevent burning) and place stuffed apples in it. cook on high for about 3 hours...occasionally spoon the liquid/nuts that fall out of apples back in and bathe the apples while they cook. I love making this during the fall especially! enjoy!
CHICKEN JAMBALAYA
Ingredients
8 ounces skinless, boneless chicken-breast halves
16 ounce package frozen bell peppers and onions
8 ounces smoked turkey sausage, halved lengthwise and cut into 1/2-inch slices
2 cups water
1 14 1/2 ounce can diced tomatoes with jalapeno peppers, undrained
8 ounce package jambalaya rice mix
Directions
Cut chicken into 1/2-inch strips. Place frozen vegetables in a 3-1/2- or 4-quart slow cooker and top with chicken strips and turkey sausage. Add water, undrained tomatoes, and seasoning packet from rice. Cover and cook on low-heat setting for 5 to 6 hours or on high-heat setting for 2 1/2 to 3 hours. Stir in rice. Cover and cook about 45 minutes more (if using low-heat setting, turn to high-heat setting), or until most of the liquid is absorbed and the rice is tender.
Crockpot Chili
1 lb. extra lean ground beef 95% - browned
1 15 ounce can kidney beans - no salt added
2 15 ounce cans diced tomatoes - no salt added
1 pkg. low sodium chili seasoning mix
I just let it cook on low all day while I am at work and it smells up my whole apartment with it's delicious wonderfulness.
Crockpot Buffalo Chicken
4 - 6 individual boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 jar of Buffalo Wing Sauce (or make your own), divided in half
1/2 pack of dry ranch dressing mix (e.g., Hidden Valley)
2T butter (I don't use this, but some people prefer it)
Mix dry ranch dressing mix and 1/2 jar of buffalo wing sauce
Spray inside of crockpot with Pam or something like that
Put in chicken breasts
Cover with sauce (if you want to use butter, throw it in there too)
Cover and cook on low for 6 hours
When it's done, you can add more sauce to your taste, shred it and put it on buns (thins or other) or do like I do and shred it an put it on top of a salad.
