I went to bed last night thinking...tomorrow is the day you get back on track. It started out good and then I got a phone call from H&R Block saying that someone has already submitted a tax return with my husbands social security number......We found out our Identity has been stolen. Needless to say i pouted like a baby and binged all day. Tomorrow I hope will be a brighter day:)

Someday never comes. There is always a problem on the horizon, a tempting food put in our way, a distraction trying to take our attention away. Bottom line comes down to Yoda's 'Do, or Don't Do - There is no Try.' I gained tons of weight when I let depression, stress, exhaustion make the decisions for me, and now I wake up fighting every day to undo what happened to my body when I wasn't paying attention.
When you are truly sick and tired of being sick and tired, you start battling to lose weight, gain fitness and to have control over your life. What's your decision going to be?0 -
I do that kind of thing too. Like eating is going to solve anything????
My body and some part of my brain think so.
Best of luck on your case-- I'm really sorry that happened.0 -
Don't worry about your past diet flaws. Just keep going. If you stress about the past binges it will make you less likely to keep going. Don't give up! You can do this! Don't try to make up for it or anything.. Just KEEP GOING!
You're not on a diet. It's a lifestyle choice. You want something... have it ... but only 1 serving! Everything in moderation.0 -
I hope you get the SS mess cleared up quickly!
Question for you: Did your overeating and binging take care of the identity theft problem for you? Or did it just make you feel guilty and worse?
One of my MFPeeps posted this just today: "If you're tired of starting over, stop giving up"...

I personally believe that its a waste of time to eat food that isn't good for you and then spend hours nitpicking yourself and saying "god, I can't believe I did that, I am such a failure" and on and on. Then, not only is the food you are giving yourself bad, but the internal messages are as well. Double the detriment to your body! For me, this journey is not just about losing weight, but also about learning to love, appreciate and accept my body no matter what size it is along the way. Until I understood this to be my goal, I wasn't able to move forward with my lifestyle changes. I didn't start making life style changes until I stopped that negative self talk. If you eat something that isn't good for you, or have a day that doesn't go as you planned, accept and appreciate the fact that you were able to eat it, that you (hopefully) enjoyed it, and move on to a new day.0
