I have been with MFP since Jan 6th....I have tried to work out at least 3 times a week ... sometimes more ...now my question is when I work out on my eliptical for 30 mins I believe it gives me when I put it in here 388 more calories... although i do not eat them back most times...but on my eliptical after a 30 min workout says I burnt 90 calories...which one should I track with....cause i am out of shape and I really like the 388 ...but is this practical ...incase I actually might like to eat my calories back?

I actually have no idea but I have heard that both can be very inaccurate, so if it were me I would go with the lower or maybe split the difference. I have heard machines and calculators can be off by up to 40% that better measures are the heart rate monitors but again Im not very familiar with them, I don't work out a ton maybe 30-40 minutes a day so I don't worry to much about it, I eat back my calories but use a conservative estimate.0
