I feel guilty..

I ate 1 1/2 macadamia nut cookies. Why so much guilt!! I didn't even go over my calories, I didn't even get to my calorie goal. Do I feel guilty because I only let myself have a little sweetness on my cheat days? Well, tomorrow will be another day. Let's just hope I don't "sleep walk" and eat all the damn cookies.

Don't feel guilty! Shoot at least you stopped after the 1/2! I would have ate the whole 2nd piece! hahaha, You controlled yourself and like you said, didn't go over your calories, so it's ok, just don't go all crazy and eat up the rest like you said!0

I dunno, you said yourself you aren't over your allowance. Maybe with all the misinformation about food and weight loss flying around, you've come to regard some foods (like the cookies) as 'illegal'. Great thing about calorie counting, nothing is illegal anymore, just has to be eaten in moderation. If you're still feeling bad, do some cardio and eat back the calories with something healthy :-)0

I know how easy it is to beat yourself up! I tend to do the same thing. Dont feel bad about eating something you think you shouldnt because that too is a setup to fail. I know I spent years beating myself up over what I had just eaten which set me up to do it again. So stay strong and you are right tomorrow is another day!0

I agree.. dont feel guilty - you're changing your life... you have to make choices that you might any other time - just think positive.. you could of eaten 3 cookies.. but you didnt.. Keep strong. You can do this.0

No way you should feel guilty for that!! Any time I can sneak in a nice treat and stay within my cals I feel great! It reminds me that this is not a diet but a way of life, and I don't want to miss out on the good things in life! And you don't have to derail your self by indulging, by staying in your limits you are still on track and doing great!! Feel elated no guilty!!!!0

If you didn't even go over your calories why feel guilty? Sure you could have made a 'healthier" choice but sometimes the healthy thing to do is indulge a little bit. (Please note, this advice is coming from a woman who had a bowl of Coffee Lover's Favorite from Cold Stone Creamery tonight. I didn't go over my calories either and I'm not feeling guilty because it tasted darn good and I enjoyed every. single. bite.)0

"Eat back the calories with something healthy" - I like that.0 -
Guilt is reserved for doing wrong to others. You did no wrong here, no reason to be sorry.0

i think we all feel guilty when we eat junk food every once in a while . log it in your calorie intake and move on i feel like that about fast food so i dont bother with those anymore no point in me eating a burger and thinking about throwing up and feeling so damn bad about it. hey you only ate 1 1/2 hell some people would eat the whole bag and not think twice over it . i dunno if that makes you feel better but hey log it in and tomorrow is another day. You shouldn't deny your craving eat in moderation once in a while eating junk food is ok.0

agreed... I would have finished the 2nd cookie. You're a better woman than I ;-) Don't beat yourself up over it... its just a cookie. And like you said... you didn't go over your goal. You're allowed to indulge every now and then... what fun would life be if you could never have cookies again?!0
