Stupid question....but.....

Okay so I have a stupid question about this serving size that I'm seeing on the side of a box of pasta. It says the serving size is 1 1/4 cup and I want to know is it saying one 1/4 cup or one full 1cup and another 1/4 cup.....hope that makes sense lol.

    If it says something like 'Serving Size- 1 1/4 cup' ... then I vote its literally 1 and a quarter cup or, 1.25 cups of pasta. :) Not sure that any serving size of pasta I have ever seen is only one quarter cup.

    yeah that is 1.25. one full cup and another quarter cup on top

    LOL! Yeah when i was thinking about it I was like....um okay 1/4 doesn't sound right to me. Ty!

    Be sure to check if this is the cooked volume or the uncooked volume.

    1 and 1/4 cup hope that helps! Sometimes when you start learning measurement sizes and portions it can be hard to visualize which is correct! Not a stupid question!

    ty! Yeah i've been watching serving sizes on boxes and just never come up against a measurement like that yet lol.
