Today was day 1 for me with counting calories. I have so many questions. I will begin doing p90x tomorrow and jogging . I have SO MANY questions! First off I was hungry a lot today so I ste a little over what I'm supposed to eat, I ate 100 calories more. What happens if I eat a little less? Do I just need to meet my calories or also fat and everything else? I'm on a 1200 calorie diet. I need to loose baby weight from both pregnancies. 28lbs but want to loose 30lbs. Another question, how can I log my p90x workouts? It doesn't have the name p90x. It seems harder than I thought lol. Also, if I'm hungry most of the time, should I jus kind of get a little used to it? Or eat? First time on a diet... I'm having this bet with my husband lol, every pound either of us looses we will get 100$ I really want to beet him. Please give me advice. Today's schedule was...
10am-meal replacement (YOR Health)
12pm- 6 in sandwich subway(chicken breast) I cheated a little w half a soda from subway(which when I added my calories at end of day realized, I'm never doing that again lol because I went over.)
2pm- 1 serving of pecans
4pm- other 6 in of subway sandwich
I drank 6 and a half 8oz cups of water total.

Your minimum daily NET calories should be whatever MFP tells you it should me. Obviously if you're 300 lbs, you need to eat more than someone who is 150. The bare minimum should be around 1,200 (for most people).
Get a HRM and use it when you P90x and jog to calculate your calories burned. It's more accurate than MFP's calculations.
Going over a bit once is a while is okay! As long as your net calories for the week are under what MFP says...you'll lose.
Also, drink more water!0 -
For starters, congratulations on taking the first step to a healthier you! As for the questions then: Calories in, Calories out is the most important factor. Tracking macros is good, but don't worry too much about those. A little above or below your goal won't hurt too much, but try to stay close to it. How did you reach 1200 Calories, by the way? I think most set a goal of 1 lb/week weight loss. While I'm at it, you should probably eat back some or all of the calories you burn through exercise. I don't know about p90x, so I'll leave that for someone else. Hope this helps.0

Keep an eye on Subway Sandwiches. HUGE amounts of sodium. ! That will derail weight loss!!!!
You can eat a lot at the 1200 limit, Im 1400 and eating good cals can fill you up versus Subway not so good Cals. . . Its a great site, just keep using it....you'll get the hang of it....0 -

Anyone above 5'3" should be consuming close to 1600-1800 calories daily to lose weight but maintain lean mass.
Never go 1200...it only last a few weeks then youll post that you stopped losing weight.

Do the body fat calculator then the BMR tool.
Eat exactly what the BMR tool tells you but never below BMR.
youll do great!0 -
First I would say that you really need to try and drink at least 8 cups of water every day, if not more. Also, any sandwich, especially subway is going to have a lot of calories and carbs for bread - think how thick that sandwich is. And having it twice in one day isn't do you any favors, and probably not on your sodium count either.
The thing that is going to fill you up is protein, you need to eat more lean proteins - they are low cal and won't leave you feeling hungry. Eat with some fruits or veggies and believe me, you will have plenty of calories for the day. And as the rest are saying - you NEED to eat more calories!! Eat more, move more - you'll work it out in p90x, believe me!0
