Overestimating on my Food Log

Ok, I have to overestimate on my MFP food log because the servings that they have listed are usually more than what I eat...So, I am listing them as is and still staying within the allotted calorie intake for me.... Is that bad?! That means I am actually going under my caloric intake for the day....
Just curious...

ya, you shouldn't be overestimating... just use fractions of the portions. if 1 portion is 3 ounces and you only ate 1 oz, just put ".33" etc.0
-
the problem with that is it doesn't let me change the "amount" section....its preset in the dropdown list....:grumble:0

she means in the number of servings you had...
so it will say
_ serving of _2 pieces of bread
you won't put 1 serving if you only had one piece
so you would put .5
and if you only had 1/2 a piece of bread, .25...etc0 -
why would you need to change it? just where it says "1" change that to a decimal, as in you had a portion of the serving but not a whole serving.0

But there is a number in front of the amount and you should be able to change it. Say you had a 1/2 c of cereal but the serving is 1 cup, you can change the number to .5.0 -
Just use the serving size part (where u enter in a number) to adjust the amount. You can't use fractions, but you can use decimals, like with a 3 oz. serving and you only at 1 oz., just put 0.33 servings. I had the hardest time the other day figuring out how much 3/4 of 1/2 was haha....0

A cup is approximately 8 oz, 1 oz is about 29.6 mL. That's generally just for liquids, but an acceptable estimate for all conversions. Hopefully that helps...0 -
