Turning 50

I turned 50 back in October and I am having a hard time losing weight, in the past all I had to do was count calories and it dropped off, Now I am on 1200 a day, I jog/walk to the gym & back (1-2 miles away depending which way I go) every other day for a 1/2 hour weights work out, and on the other days I try to walk/ jog with my dogs at least 1/2 hour. I my weight is hardly moving!! No thyroid problems or health isues, any help, ideas or motivation out there? I want to lose 15 lbs

    Welcome to MFP and the 1/2 century club. It sounds like your doing all the right things. Sometimes it just takes time. Usually if you lose the weight fast it comes back fast so remember this is a change in lifestyle. It does work and you will feel better. Good luck and feel free to add me as a friend if you need some motivation. Oh yeah don't forget to drink plenty of water.

    HI Jennifer (my sister's name also) =) I've been trying to lose weight since my early 40's with little results,I have found that no mater what the diet or excerise neither works without the other.But I have got serious and not doing so bad this time around,It is a matter of balance and the support is nice,hence this website LOL So weclome and good luck ...Friend me if you'd like.
