Good morning all. I realized that I just kind of said hello the other day and didn't really give any background information so here goes.
I am a single mom to an 11 year old girl. She goes to her dad's regularly. I work full time (sometimes overtime) and am going to school one night a week working on my Master's degree. I'm already busy, I can't even imagine if I were to be in a relationship at this point, there's just no time.
My weight had gotten up to about 220, and I have fluctuated slightly since then.
Although over the last several years I have started to feel much happier with who I am on the inside, I am disgusted with my physical appearance and overall lack of physical activity. I get winded easily, my clothes look horrible on me, my back hurts, and I just feel crappy overall.
My overall cholesterol test in January was fine, but my triglycerides were a bit high and two of my liver function tests were a little elevated. My doctor wants to recheck them in a month, but I finally said enough's enough and I want to make a permanent change. I started a colon cleanse last week for a fresh start and started MFP Monday at about 217.0.
Part of my problem with the exercise level is related to my daughter. She's very bright, but gets sidetracked easily. I'd love to try the couch to 5-K program, but if I leave the house for 30 minutes, she will still be on the same task she was on when I left. I am working with her on this, but even heading into my room to do the treadmill is a challenge for the same reason. She's a good kid and I love her to pieces, she just loses focus easily.
In addition to my overall health focus, I am also hoping to meet my favorite actor in October and I want my picture to be something I really love looking back on, not cringe at.
Anyway, that's my story, for now. I'm working to re-write it and be happy with myself both inside and out.

Ok, so I tried to sell my daughter on training with me. She was done with homework that is due tomorrow, so we did the first work out of Couch to 5-K together this evening. She seemed to really enjoy it. Then we got home and she took a 30 minute shower (even after several reminders from me to get out) and still ended up getting to bed 10 minutes late. I'm happy she wants to do this with me, but I need her to stay on task.0

Really feeling the couch to 5-K start I got last night in my legs this morning. That's a good thing though, right?0
