I just found out that all month long in Feb. at Subway you can get ANY FOOTLONG for $5! That is a pretty good deal for lunch! You can save the other half for later or split with a friend! I even heard Bob Harper say on Biggest Loser the other day that Subway is a great choice if you are eating out! So just wanted to pass it along!

I've only been to subway a few of times but the bread is always hard and stale and the meat and cheeses are warm and creep me out. I'd like to say that it was just one, but they have all been different restaurants... maybe I'm just unlucky0

That is really unfortunate about the bread. Subway is known for baking their bread every four hours..to keep it fresh tasting. Not like other chains like Quiznos that have the frozen bread delivered and that is why they have to toast it....you don't get an option. May be that particular's store manager....so you may want to ask how often he/she is baking the bread.0 -

That's just wrong. The mayo and cheese is the best part!
That's probably why I avoid Subway.0 -
Nice! A footlong sub will feed two people in my family. I always get a double meat club with no cheese, all veggies and sweet onion sauce. I find that a 6" sub with the double meat is just as filling as a 12" sub but it is lower calorie (450) and much lower in carbs. Now the sodium is another matter! That is why we only have Subway for a treat since we are thirsty all day after eating there.0

I get the veggie sub on wheat with:
spinach
mushrooms (if they offer)
onions
tomato
provolone
and just a LITTLE pizza sauce
TOASTED
It's my substitute for pizza, lol0 -

Then what's the point? It's no longer a sandwich then...just a bunch of veggies on over cooked bread0
