UGH! Ever since "eating better" started, I want to eat constantly. I JUST finished lunch, and I want to eat more. It was a filling luch, Tilapia and pasta salad (lunch is when I get my big carbs for the day) Does anyone else have this problem??

That's a really good saying. And as for the water, I am drinking water all day, I have a big cup (probably 3-4 measuring cups) that I fill up 4-5 times a day
  • At first I didn't, but now that my metabolism has ramped up.... yeah. I wanna chow down everything in sight.

I agree with above poster. Now that I started to lose weight, I do not want to eat a lot and feel stuffed. I love waking up knowing I am thinner than the day before, even if i am hungry!!

Try to have low cal snacks in between meals. A piece of fruit, baby carrots, cucumber slices, applesauce, etc.

I do this, but I still want to eat all the time.

That's what I'm saying, I don't think I'm doing anything wrong, I eat healthy snacks between meals, I drink lots of water etc. :(

you aren't doing anything wrong, you've just changed what you eat...I carry a bag of baby carrots with me every where I go...I measure out 3oz so I know what the portion is. I also have a ton of food at my desk. But they're bell pepper's, green tea, radishes, kiwi, oranges, etc. Not junk. Try a handful of almonds if you don't find yourself satiated

Sounds like you have a handle on your food choices. How much protein do you have at each meal? Once I started increasing protein at each meal (trying for 20g each meal, and some as snacks. Aiming for 80-100g total a day) I stayed full longer, and don't get as much hunger/cravings for big snacks between meals. (big cravings for sugar all the time though!! Ha)

I do a protein shake in the morning, and occasionally a little something along with it - fruit once I get to work. Then meat, (sometimes tofu) with lunch - generally a cup of cooked cut-up chicken with rice and veggies. and 1oz cheese stick in the afternoon. I drink coffee and water consistently through the work day. After work I have a harder time getting the protein, but you might not have that issue for dinner.
  • I feel your pain!!!!!! I still struggle with this ALL the time. Sometimes, it is out of horrible habit/boredom, but there are actual times when no matter how much I eat, I am still starving.

I have found that I try to load up on fiber and protein to keep me full through the day (apples, greek yogurt, fiber one bars, almonds, trail mix, etc). And of course, tons of water!
