Hell everybody!
At the beginkng of Jan I decided to get my butt in gear to loose 50 lbs as I'm getting married in Oct. I'm on a 1200 calorie a day diet, and go to the gym at least 4x a week. Ill burn anywhere from 500-700 calories. Its been a month and the only result I have is bloating and weight gain! I don't understand what could b wrong I watch what I eat and drink plenty of water. This is super frustrating and very discouraging. I've never had this problem before and I need some suggestions.

You could be gaining muscle... were you very active before?

1200 calories probably isn't enough. Your body needs fuel.

Do you eat the calories you earn with exercise? you have to eat at least half of it....

As someone else mentioned, I'd be curious to see your diary and what you're eating. I have reached my goal and am now on maintenance. I'm doing CrossFit and feeling great. I lost 50 lbs by counting calories, and I know you can too. You HAVE to eat your extra calories. I know it sounds crazy, but it's a science. Also, if you're eating too many grains and not enough healthy carbs like veggies and lean protein, you could be doing yourself a disservice. Good luck to you!
