Lunch Box Ideas

Hi All,

Does anyone have any low fat/healthy ideas for my lunch box?

I don't have any facilities to cook any food at work so I tend to cook wholemeal rice at home and put it in a tupperware box, add sweet corn, tomatoes or anything I have in the fridge at the time. This is getting a little boring and I'm worried I might start to grab a sandwich or crisps instead.

Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

Thank you :-)

One of my favorites is grilled chicken with hummus and veggies in a wrap.

I have been packing salads or a wrap. Grilled chicken in either one is awesome! And lots of veggies to make me feel more full throughout the day at work.

They all sound lovely. Thank you very much. :-)
  • I love hummus...especially the garlic one. I put grill chicken in pita bread, add low-fat feta cheese, salsa (homemade), bean sprouts and carrots to this. It's heaven!

I love a piece of chicken or fish and sauteed spinach for a low carb option

ps - Sauteed spinach can be done in the oven.. Frozen spinach, olive oil and garlic, mix and put in oven for 25 mins.

    Wow! Bahacca,

That is a great list. Thank you for sharing.

I shall be adding those to my shopping list, oh and the thermos too.

It's so easy to get into a safety rut when it comes to lunch. There is hope!

    Thank you everyone :-)
