Starting to lose faith in myself....

Hey all....I am new here and my first time posting on this board. My name is Sara. I have been married 5 years to my husband Jeremy and we have 3 kids...Jacob is 5, Ashlynn is 3 and Jackson is 11 Months. When I first got pregnant with Jacob I was probably 120 lbs. and then I just went down hill from there cause every other year I was pregnant. I have decided that I HAVE to lose weight cause as of right now I am sitting at 240 lbs. I am not happy with myself and i just feel really sad that i let myself go like that. I have tried everything under the sun to try and get this weight off but nothing seems to work. I have tried WW, Diet pills, Low carb and nothing seems to work. I feel like giving up. It just seems like no matter what i do even cut my portions in half , the scale # just keep going up. We have an elliptical and a treadmill at our home but by time i get to 10 minutes or so I am out of breath and i hurt. I like to walk but with my husband and i working opposite shifts (He works in the morning and right when he gets home i go to work at night) there is no way i can with all my kids. I really don't even have friends that i can do anything with and all my sisters are in AZ. I am trying not to get down on myself but i seriously need some motivation and some ways to start losing this weight. It makes me cry everytime I look in the mirror. I just want to feel sexy again...I know that my hubby loves me but i want to put that spark back in our marriage and be like we used to be.

Thanks for listening to me if you got this far.

You've come to the right place! MFP is full of wonderful people that are all in the same boat, but at different stages in their journey. If your look around on different threads, you will find alot of support.

I've been a member of MFP for a little over 3 years and managed to lose 160 lbs with the support of MFP. I stopped using it for over a year and without the support that I was receiving here, I managed to put half my weight back on. I am back and learned a hard lesson. This is not just about losing the weight and letting it all go, this is about a lifestyle change. Living a healthier lifestyle. I had to learn that the hard way...

I just recently joined a "group" on here for people that need to lose 100 lbs or more. They are all awesome and very supportive! I'm not sure how much you would like to lose, but I'm sure you would receive a warm welcome wherever you chose to "frequent" on here...

Good luck on your new journey:flowerforyou:

Hi, I have kids and I know how hard it is to make time to workout, right now I have to either wake up super early or go super late. I signed up at the gym and I go after 9 when they are sleeping, then I also started waking up early to do the 30 day shred video before I shower to go to work. Since you have a threadmill, maybe you can start by walking slow and then little by little your body will start getting used to walking and you can add more time and more speed. Hope this helps.
Also, try to count calories, this website is very helpful when it comes to that.
    Good luck! :-)

Its always hard to get started its all in your head though but I believe that once you set your mind to it and really want it you can sure as hell have it. I struggle every day with watching what I eat and having the motivation to workout but I know I can do it. Working out isn't easy you have to get use to it. I know from experience that the eliptical and treadmil are hard at first but you can walk as slow as you want to and do the eliptical as slow as you want to and on whatever level you want to at home its not like anyone is looking at you or judging you. I have a workout bike here at home. I normally do 30 mins but lately I just havent' had the energy and only do like 15 mins but you have to think 15 mins is better than none right? You just do what you can count your calories set a goal. Mine is 1200 cals a day and if I go over them working out cancels it out depending on how much I eat. I still don't eat right but I stay under my calories and have been loosing wt I'm kinda at a stand still right now though but I know it can get done. I just need to set my mind to it just like you do. I have a 2 year old so I kinda know where your coming from but I only have the 1 you have 3 so I know its not exactly the same. But you can do it girl just set your mind to it and don't beat yourself up over it. Its hard getting started but you can do it.
