Hello everyone. I've been on MFP for about a month. Not sure why I haven't posted an introduction yet but I'm doing it now :) I've been logging my food during the week and doing really well about staying within my calores and getting in my fruits and vegetables. However, the exercise is another thing. I just can't seem to get motivated to do it. I worked out yesterday and fifteen minutes in I remembered why I dislike it so much. And nine minutes of that was the warm-up! Also, even though I do well during the week I find that on the weekends I just eat whatever and then some.

I have already lost about fifty pounds but that has been over three years and so far I haven't been able to get past that fifty. This time, though, I am determined to do it because I have another sixty to lose. So, I'm hoping to make some friends on here that way we can all motivate each other.

It's taken me years to get motivated to lose weight. I just started working out the beginning of the year and haven't taken a day off since. I know that I need to move or I won't lose the weight. I do water aerobics 2 days a week. I workout on the weight machines 2 days a week. I walk on my treadmill 7 days a week. Finally, I started lifting hand weights yesterday. You have to combine cardio exercises and strength training exercise to lose weight. Everything counts, including, cleaning and cooking. Good luck. I know you can do this.

Thanks sxybigbaby. You can definitely do it :) I'm glad I get to watch your journey. I'm sure you'll surpass a pound a week cause you seem to always be working out! I definitely think you're going to help motivate me to get my butt moving.

Smokey, 77 lbs. That is amazing. What you said about moving or not losing weight is something I need to keep reminding myself. I'm actually a little worried about weights because I just finished a class that I did twice a week for two hours and in four and a half months I lost about four pounds. And that was on Weight Watchers. We did a lot of weights and everyone keeps telling me it's because I gained muscle. But it's hard not to be affected by that number on the scale. I think it's time to start putting that Wii Fit to use :) And thank you, I know I can do this too, I just HAVE to stick with it.
