I have never in my life had very many spots, my face has always been very clear all the way through school, college, always. I am now going to sleep earlier, waking earlier, doing more exercise, drunking more water and eating more fruit & veg than I ever have, and my skin is awful :(

I have quite a few spots on my face, and its very blotchy and patchy and my skins really dry ! This has only happened since I started being healthier, although could be a complete coincidence.

Is this due to a change in the diet? did anyone else have this problem? I thought my skin would get better not worse!

It has to get worse before it gets better, lol. Your system is flushing out all the nastiness, through your pores.

I would imagine your skin is beginning to show the effects of your healthier lifestyle even if it may not appear so at the moment, but its probably flushing out all the crap. Give it a little while longer and you should see the real benefits

Kinda like detoxing, whats been clogged up and stored needs to go somewhere

Or when you quit smoking, the yuk is dislodged and out it comes!
  • ahh, that makes sense :) so I should hopefully have nice healthy skin to look forward too.
    thanks guys! xx

I read in an article to wash your face with a hot face washer after all exercise as the sweat can create more acne so try that!!! and load up on your water. I have had bad skin for some time now and i am 29yo but i found coming off the pill has cleared mine up a lot . Hope this helps :)

Thanks for asking this! I have been breaking out so much more now that I'm going to the gym. I was thinking I wasn't washing my face well enough after my workout but I know that I am. I have never heard of your skin expelling the waste through your pores, but that's pretty cool if it is.

Makes sense. I've been having the same problem. I finally decided to try skin i.d. (didn't have luck w proactiv or anything store bought that used to work with my skin). It's helped a LOT, but I'm still having a couple small breakouts. Now I have hope for this passing! lol. Thanks! ;-)

You could try this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saccharomyces_cerevisiae. I hope that this is as common in your country as it is in mine. I had the same problem a few months ago and took this for about a week and the spots disappeared completely. Be careful not to take too much: your skin gets pretty dry.
Edit: the pills taste horrible by the way!
