i read something on a message board today that really bothered me. basically this woman was like "men aren't that deep, they don't have feelings."

i understand SOME men are like that (and by the way, so are some women... we're not immune, stupidity is an equal opportunist) but i can honestly say that out of all the males i am close with, every single one of them has had some sort of issue and has gotten emotional/upset about something that wasn't football or money.

Men are trained to not have feelings. Ever hear someone say quit being a sissy and stop crying to a boy. No one would ever say that to a girl.

Men bashing is no more acceptable then women bashing. Humans have feelings and we all deal differently

    wow!!!

i think men are smart... and beautiful and lovely and awesome and strong.

    :blushing:  :smooched: :flowerforyou:

there are dumb humans, sure, i agree but just because we get emotional about something you don't consider a valid reason to get emotional, doesn't make you dumb.

i get emotional about soccer. i'm not dumb!

I have met my share of man haters. People who hate anyone have issues all their own and are certainly no one I'll associate with.

I have had my share of bad experiences (very hurtful and eye opening!!) with men. Most of them had to do with fear/selfishness...so yea consider me a bit jaded. But I have good reason!! I don't hate men, but my outlook on them has changed drastically. I take them, their words, and their actions with a grain of salt.

I'm in between on this. Men are so beautfiul and we need them. But, I honestly don't get them. Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus is soooooooooooo true. i stopped trying to figure it out...because I would stay pissed and in a funk if I did. They are so simple....yet so complexed! But eh, I bet they would say the same about us....LMAO!

Actually....my dad and sister both have said that to me. It made me cry more. Then it made them get meaner.

Can we please try not to bash people based on their gender? Instead, we should bash them based on their individual personalities.

Yeeeah this thread is going to need to come to a complete stop until I get a clear definition on "cooter-pepper".

I'm half intrigued and half afraid I'll be blinded.

And yet another man bashing thread. Surely these threads have to be against the Community Guidelines?
    4. Show Respect to All Groups and Individuals

No derogatory references to sex, gender, ethnicity, religions, or sexual orientation, or endorsement of violence against any person or group, even if couched in humor, will be permitted. This includes expressing stereotypes about any group or community.

I think the main difference is how men and women deal with feelings. Men are taught to keep their feelings to themselves, women are more free to be emotional.

My wife even wants me to talk about my feelings toward hypothetical situations, WTF??

Men are great. I have seen my SO tear up over a letter that his little girl wrote him. I cry sometimes..ok..mostly during PMS over stupid things. He knows when I cry during the rest of the month that I am really upset over something.

Us men are kinda dumb sometimes lol.

When a woman asks what are you thinking about and we say nothing, believe us!!!! We are thinking about nothing, we can go to that blank mind space quite often.

Never realized how much of a bad wrap men were getting in the media and entertainment world till I read Bringing up Boys by James Dobson after my son was born. Then I got to watching for it and couldn't believe the attack on men that was going on. Hard pressed to find a man portrayed as anything other than a bumbling fool, being overly feminized, or a womanizing dirtbag on any TV show nowadays.

Men are all the things women are. Except they tend to pee standing up.

I would, and do totally say that to girls. But, I am a hard *kitten*.

This isn't a man bashing thread, it seems to be more a man praising thread. I get so annoyed when people comment on a thread having not actually READ any of the posts.
