So, I need a little bit of help for my project management class. We're given a situation and I have to come up with 5 things that COULD go wrong with the situation and how to solve them.

The situation is a fly fishing trip to Alaska.

Can you think of what might go wrong during such a trip besides weather? (Everyone in the class so far has used weather as one of the possible problems) I can come up with solutions, I just need problems! =) Thanks everyone!

    Options
    - Don't have fishing line.
    - Don't have lure.
    - Don't have hooks.
    - Don't have waders.
    - Fish aren't biting.
    - Plane to Alaska crashes killing everyone except you and Liam Neeson.
    - The stream is iced over.
    - You can't see Russia from the stream.
    - Bear attack.
    - Run out of gas on your way back to the airport.

    That's just off the top of my head.

    Get lost in the woods going to or from the river w/o map or compass - Use natural means (sun, moss etc) to find your way out

    Pretty sure my tacher won't accept that. He might laugh, but I'm pretty sure he'd fail me if I used that. :laugh:

    boat engine stalls/runs out of gas
    gps navigation is inaccurate and returns you to a wrong port
    boat hits a sandbar and sinks
    you don't follow the law on fish limits (specifically thinking halibut) and get caught
    reeling the line up, someone falls overboard who doesn't know how to swim (this actually happened on a fishing trip my husband took)
    seasickness or food poisoning


    **edit: just re-read and noticed it is a FLY fishing trip. most of these probably won't work. sorry.

    -car trouble
    -out of gas
    -someone falls in the cold river and gets pulled away by current
    -bear attack
    -wolf attack
    -somebody gets cut on fishing lure/tackle
    -you lose your gear
    -your rod gets swept away
    -you get lost looking for the perfect fishing spot
    -you run out of food and have to eat fish and berries

    Pilot or boat captain shows up intoxicated or worse yet, is a no show b/c he's incarcerated
    Customers with reservations are no shows
    Boat is destroyed when another boat runs aground
    Everyone shows up, generator on boat stops working, all the food spoils
