.. how do you take your before pics *edited to add title
I am just about to start the 30 DS SD but ... due to 2 mischievous kittens I no longer have a full mirror LOL and I never owned a tripod to go with my camera
I wanted to take some before pictures today but I am stumped about how to get a good picture, holding the camera out and snapping doesn't seem to be working :grumble:
So any ideas would be appreciated :drinker:

Get someone to take it for you0

Set the timer, then throw the camera and pose real quick. It might take a few tries.0

Thanks but I live alone so that is not an option0 -

Thanks but I am not sure if my camera even has one lol never used it so will need to go online to find a manual0 -
As long as the camera has a self-timer, put it on top of a dresser or other furniture across the room.
Or you can get a cheap mirror, the kind that go on the back of a door, for about $5.0 -
I have a remote for my camera so I just set it on top of a dresser and used that, but I know that they cost some money. Any digital camera should have a 5 or 10 second delay so you can set it up on top of something, check the framing through the back so you know where you'll have to stand, hit the button and get in the frame!0

I got my boyfriend to do mine. Do you have any friends that could come by quick to take it or take it when you see them?
Otherwise most digital cameras will have a timer feature like others have mentioned. Mine was a very cheap camera and has it.0 -
Before I had a tripod I use to put it on a furniture, like the top of my computer desk or on shelve in the library and set the time. Voilà!0
