Can someone clear this up for me please. I am craving fish & chips from my local chippy but I would like to know as a rough estimation how many cals is in the meal.

I have exercised well and ate well and as a one off I want a treat.

Totally depends on how it's prepared and portion size. If you really want it, just have it, forget about the calories, and get back on track tomorrow. If it's a huge portion, share it or just eat half.

Ha! One of my favorites. Depends on how much is in the meal.

I get two large pieces, and it comes with probably two cups of chips (fries). Yes, I eat it all.

I log 400 for the fish and 700 for the chips. . . :ohwell:

Yeah I have 1350 cals odd left for today so I doubt a proper fish & chips meal would be too bad right? Also their food in general isn't poorly made.

You could always Google search generic fish and chips and see what a general calorie count is for it. I would do that and estimate as close to what it is as possible. One meal isn't going to screw up your progress so just do your best.

Impossible to answer, but I will say that I just had F & C the other day....I seem to still be alive and haven't added any weight mass on.......right, it was just one meal. j/k

my understanding is that all the fat goes into the batter - I've never had a greasy fish - just the batter.
Enjoy - life is too short!!

Now I'm thinking fish n chips for supper tonight.... mmmmm..

You may have a higher intake of fat and saturated fat etc. I guess if you keep the rest of the days calories pretty low you should be ok in terms of calorie goals. Only been on MFP a month and I had fish a chips last week. I just got one small portion of chips a fish and a battered sauage. I had fish and half the chips and my other half had the sausage and half the chips. Its the amount of chips you get what tends to be the killer in my opinion!
