    Songs that remind me off or are directly about summertime off hand...

    If Country is your flavor:
    Almost everything by Kenney Chesney is in one form or another summer / tropical related. - When the sun goes down, Summertime (duh), No Shoes No Shirt No Problems, Beer in Mexico
    Same with Alan Jackson - Chattahoochie, etc
    One of my favorites: Brad Paisley - Bunch of "summer" feel songs including: Water, American Saturday Night, Mud on the Tires, Ticks (and a bunch of others)
    Nitty Gritty Dirt Band - Fishin in the dark.
    Steve Azar - I dont have to be me till monday
    Tracy Byrd - Watermelon Crawl, Drinkin' Bone
    Zac Brown Band - Toes, Where the Boat leaves from, Chicken Fried.

    If ur not a country fan...
    almost Everything Jimmy Buffet is a bit like KC up there but with less country feel. Cheeseburger in Paradise, Margaritaville, etc, etc.

    Maybe you want to go with more of an Island feel...
    Brudda IZ (Israel Kamakawiwo'ole, may he RIP) is fantastic. His album Facing Future is pretty good and you can't get much more of a summer sound than songs about Hawaii.

    Sweet - Ballroom Blitz (not really summer related but upbeat and reminds me of something that I'd play at a BBQ)
