Is the weight/calorie count based on uncooked or cooked for

When calculating weight/calories ratio's out with rice & pasta.

Are the figures calculated with rice & pasta uncooked or cooked?

I use raw weights. It's the only way 2 people can get the same calorie count from the same pasta

IE 100 grams of spaghetti raw... you cook it to al dente (I think that's the name when it's still got a crispness to it) it weighs... I dunno 200 grams just to keep it simple...
I cook it longer ... to the point it's about to fall apart... it weighs 300 grams...
it's the same 100 grams of pasta we started with the only difference is how much water weight it gained by cooking longer times.

Good post, I always wondered about this myself. I always go with cooked weight just to be on the safe side because I'm unsure.

As lost of the entries in the database are added by users, there is no way to tell what people intend.
Look for entries that specify "rice cooked" or "chicken breast raw" etc.
