Do blue berries and bran go together in the same muffin?
If they do please could anyone supply me with recipes for them but ideally they would been to be suitable for a diabetic as my husband has just been tested to see if he's a diabetic and has been told what ever the outcome he needs to reduce his sugar intake.
Thanks.

Dont know any recipes, but I took a nutriton class on glycemic load last sat. Blueberries and Bran are both low glycemic foods so as long as you dont use alot of sugar making them (try applesauce instead) they should be yummy and sugar friendly. (Berries have natural sugar in them, like any fruit, but because of the fiber that they also have it makes them a low glycemic food, adding the bran makes it even better!)0

make a bran muffin and add blueberries... bam.
If your bran recipe calls for oil use unsweetened apple sauce will cut the calories, though will add the natural sugars from the apples... so just go with the oil if hubby can't eat apples... but on a per serving basis it would be a small boost.0 -
