Work out with spouse or partner?

Who do you work out with? I work out with my husband everynight. First I get on the treadmill for 20 min, while he lifts weights. Then we switch and he gets on the treadmill and I lift weights. Then I put on boxing gloves and we "box". He holds out his hands flat towards me and I punch away. We both have our own music on, and both really get into it. And then we do aerobics together. He stands behind me and mirrors everything I do. I think because I cant see his face he is more willing to get into it. Otherwise I think the aerobics part wouldnt be happening. We have mirrors on each wall which is a great motivation to see my butt from all angels:) We have a great time together and it gets him away from his video games which I love:)
What do you do and who do you do it with???

I run with my husband on the weekends, typically longer runs 6+ miles! During the week I have a friend who I run with and attend gym classes with. Sometimes I run alone or with the baby in the stroller. I LOVE running with my husband! Even though we don't really talk and we have our own music it is great time spent together doing someting productive and healthy!0

I go to the gym with a coworker 5 days a week. We set up a schedule of what we do every day, and switch it up so we dont get too accustomed to each workout. We alternate between some ab circuit training, some general whole body circuit training, elliptical, treadmill, stationary bike and another awesome machine called the arc at the gym we go to. Its so much better going with someone. First of all we go at 5 AM so I feel like I will let her down if I am not there. She feels the same way. I dont think I could do this without a partner. Its just so much harder on your own I'd have to imagine. Its wonderful to have someone to motivate you!0

I work out with my Beachbody friends in the WOWY gym online (virtual) but as far as in person workouts - no one. My boyfriend comes on a run with me every now and then but that's about it.0

I tried working out with my wife a few times and each time it ended in an argument....so we don't even go to the same gym anymore lol. I actually prefer working out alone so I can get in and get out.0

haha! That's why we run with our own music and don't talk!0 -
With my husband every evening when he gets home from work, and sometimes with my 2 year old during the day, lol, he's really helpful!0

I used to run with my boyfriend nearly every morning. It was good, kept me in check and with us both being competitive, we kept each other going We split up though so now I am solo when it comes to exercise.0

My husband and I work out together, from morning walks and swimming laps to our exercise favorites of dancing (50s style rock n roll) and cycling. I work harder when we exercise together.0

I wish my husband would workout with me! He has PT early every morning before work that he does with his Marines, he runs them and do circuits, plyometrics, etc. That's enough of a workout for him so he never feels like a 2nd workout with me. Sometimes he will go running with me as I am trying to get more into running. Other than that I go alone or with a friend now and then. All my friends are flakey on working out so if they all bail on me I go alone because I can't depend on other people to motivate me to workout I have to do it for myself! Lol0

I don't like working out with my fiance, we used to run together (a few years ago when I was starting to run...) and he would try and be helpful and tell me to do this or do that because its proper form and better for me but it ended up just annoying me. I have a stationary bike at home and I don't like when he comes in the room when I do it because I am self concious of my breathing, it really doesn't make sense why I would be but I am. I think I would be ok with him doing a work out video with me but he won't, at least not for now.
So I guess the answer is I work out alone. I never liked going to the gym with a partner because you have to do things at their pace, fast or slow.0 -
My boyfriend goes to the gym everyday and I would love to join but I don't have enough funds to join up at the moment
But we do run together on weekends and sometimes weekdays if I feel like going for a run in the afternoon as well! It's good to have motivation and he always tells me a look good while all puffed and sweaty so makes me feel a little less insecure0 -
I love to workout with my husband, but it's tough with his flight schedule, so I usually work out with my gym buddy. We are good at challenging each other and have similar fitness goals. He and I are working on acro and partner exercising together. My husband prefers to run and use his total gym, but I like to use my gymnastics skills0
