I'm loving P90, there is no doubt the programmes work for many people, but I cannot help being a little sceptical about the set up behind the DVDs. It seems that pretty much the only feedback out there is positive, and most is on websites of people who sell the programme and call themselves Beachbody coaches despite having very little in the way of formal training.

How does the coach programme work? I know there are some coaches out there who can help me understand, not criticising - just intrigued.

    Lisa,

It really depends on the Coach. Yes, anybody can sign up to be a Coach. Some do it solely for the discount, while others do it to genuinely help people... whether they are at their goal or not. I have been a Coach for a couple months now and am doing it to help people. I want to pay it forward with the knowledge I've gained over the years, losing weight three times now. The first was when I was a newlywed and had gained weight after high school and college. The last two times were after I had babies. I've now successfully lost weight and want to help others reach their goals. No, I'm not a trainer or a nutritionist, but I've learned a lot over the years and want to help others do what I have done.

I hope that answers your questions.... feel free to message me if you have more!

Can anyone really be a coach to get the discount? I mean there has to be a hidden price right? What is the discount anyway?

I think they encourage people and they might get a commission if they can sell Beachbody products. They are not dieticians, nutritionists or trainers. They are just people who feel like encouraging others and maybe selling some products.

Yes, seriously .... anybody can sign up to be a Coach. Many do that to get the discount on Shakeology and the workout systems.

There is a $40 activation fee and a $14.95 per month charge for your websites. They provide us with 3 websites for our business. Whether you decide to work your business or not is up to you.

Coaches receive a 25% discount, and 25% commission on sales we make.

    Here's an example....

Retail price of Shakeology is $119.
    Coach price is $89

Final price each month is $105 if you are a coach and add in the monthly website fee.

Right now they are running a special on becoming a Coach where you can get the activation fee waived. It's a pretty sweet deal actually. I won't get long-winded here, feel free to message me if you want more information.

Let me know if you have more questions, I'm happy to answer any!

I have been a coach since Nov. I think that most of the comments are from coaches because, well for me this was the first time that i lost weight the right way. So when i started to see that the programs really work i decided that i wanted to help other people like me get healthy. I am truly a product of the product and LOVING IT!
  • Although there seems to be a lot of bashing of beachbody coaches on here, I think it is a great concept. Of course I am biased because I am a coach. I initially signed up to get the discount and then as I started getting results others wanted to join me. Beachbody does not offer any magic bullet or miracle weight loss system, just great programs and nutritional tools to help you get results. I have been a group fitness instructor for over 12 years and I initially started buying the programs to get ideas for my own classes because I feel they are the best programs on the market, if you are one who likes group fitness and at home workouts. I personally know many people who have gotten real results from working out and eating right. That is the only way to get there and any beachbody coach that is valid will tell you that. Coaches are just there to support you and keep you accountable. Some coaches know more than others and some are in it for the wrong reason, you just have to find one that works best with you.
