What are your gym routines? Just curious to see what you all do!

    i would like to know some weight routines! i feel like i always do the same things!!! right now i just run 3-4 days a week and do a few weights too!

    Lately I am on the elliptical for at least 30 minutes a day, six days a week. I also do a 30 minute circuit training three times a week. I tried to do the new Ripped in 30 video last week but it was too much on my fibromyalsia so I won't try that again for a while. Three to five days a week I also do yoga to help with my stiff joints. :bigsmile:

    su/tu/th - 1 hour cardio
    m/w/f - 30 min cardio and 1 hour weights
    sat - rest

    Monday- Off
    Tuesday- Legs (Squat, deadlift, lunges, hammie curls)
    Wednesday- Long cardio
    Thursday- Off
    Friday- Chest/Shoulders/Tris & short cardio (Pushups, incline press, flyes, arnold press, triceps ext, triceps pushups)
    Saturday- Back/bis & short cardio (stiff leg deadlift, barbell rows, lat pulls, reverse flyes, curls)
    Sunday- HIIT (box jumps, burpees, sledgehammer, etc)
  • I'm just looking for some ideas for cardio and what not because it gets so boring after awhile!!

    My bf is a HUGE running junkie. But he will work himself right into an injury so I make him crosstrain! Tonight we did HIIT which really gets your HR up without the steady-state monotony of cardio. It looked like this:

    Burpees 30 sec
    Rest 30 sec
    Sledgehammer work (could replace with pushups) 30 sec
    Rest 30 sec
    Jumping Jacks 30 sec
    Rest 30 sec
    Weighted burpees 30 sec
    Rest 30 sec
    Air (bodyweight) squats, rapid, 30 sec
    Rest 1 min
    Repeat circuit 5 times

    Takes about 25 minutes but you are BEAT afterward! Your heart will be beating and you should be dripping sweat! :)
