I' ve had my HRM for a couple of weeks now and I loved it up until today. It said I burned 80 calories on what should have been about a 250 calorie bike ride. I checked it periodically and even after climbing a steep hill and being tired it would say my heart rate was around 30 or 60, which should have been more like 140.
Has anyone had this trouble? Does this sound like a one time glitch, or do you think it will keep doing it? If so I want to return it while I still can.

I have never had an issue with it. Did you delete your old log? Try it again and see. Did you have enough moisture on the chest part?0

I have the same model, so far it works fine. I really think that it needed to be repositioned so that it was picking up your HR accurately. Try it again, and if the HR indicates too low, adjust the chest strap.0

I tried a cheap one from Walmart 1st and it did the same thing, one day 700 calories and the next 100. I chose to get a polar with a chest strap for more accuratcy and love it.. Well worth the money to keep track of calories and HR.0

I usually wear it over my bra and does fine, but I'll try wearing it under so it's all right against my skin and hopefully get's better contact. Hopefully it will work better next time.0 -
Yeah, I think that's the problem. Wear it against the skin, and make sure you moisten your skin at the contact point. You should see an immediate improvement. My wife wears it under the bra line against the skin.0

I'll be getting mine today, hopefully. I'll let you know if I have any problems!0

I also realized if it is in "timer" mode it just doesnt seem to calcuate the calories as well as "chronos" mode...see where it was.0
