Turkey Chili! I love making this because I get so much food with a low calorie intake. I usually start off by using a nonstick stock pot and add lots of onions, let those cook for a bit. Then I add lots of green bell pepper, again let those cook down a little (not to much otherwise they will get mushy) I then add 1lb of ground turkey breast, let that cook through. Add one big can of tomato sauce and a couple of small cans of diced tomatos. (I try to make sure it's a low sodium version also I like to use fire roasted diced tomatos that adds lots of flavor!) I then add one can of black beans that have been rinsed, again low sodium. Now for the spices obviously lots of chili powder, lots of cumin, smoked paprika if you have it (I like that for the smokey flavor, I have also used liquid smoke, just be careful as it is pretty potent) Some garlic powder and some red chili flakes for spice and of course pepper and a little salt. Let that stew for a while and it's done! It's even better the next day. :)

I also like to make stir fry, all sorts of veggies I just marinate the chicken in garlic, ginger, and soy sauce. That really kicks up the flavor, just use low sodium soy sauce and watch how much you use.

    I hope this helps :)

One of the lowest cal dinners on my list is vegetarian burritos, and they're surprisingly tasty.

I use the medium size Mission low carb tortilla wraps.

Instead of ground beef I use Boca meatless crumbles. Only use half the amount of burrito seasoning you normally would use for beef - the meatless alternative holds the flavor stronger so you don't need as much.

Then just go wild with veggies - we use olives, roma tomatoes, yellow onion, lettuce, whatever takes your fancy.

Finally top it with a bit of Pace salsa, a teaspoon of fat free sour cream, and some fat free shredded cheddar.

You can eat two of these things for about 500 cals. Plus a bunch of extra salad at the end.

For a quick & fast breakfast I use Low Cal whole wheat Nature's Own bread. I toast it lightly in the toaster, spreadh light Laughing Cow cheese on it. I cook 1 egg + 1 egg white with a tsp of milk in a measuring cup in the microwave & lay it on the open faced sandwich. It's fast & very tasty. Plus I get the benefit of an egg for breakfast which really helps hold back my morning hunger.

Turkey burgers on a half pita (or bunless, I'm trying to watch carbs) w/ baked sweet potato fries are great! Serve it w/ a salad with feta, it's super good!

I second this! I've been making lots of her recipes! I'm on 1500 a day and If i have leftovers from a previous day for lunch and then made dinner it's easy to stick to my goal! Good luck!

Right now my favorite lunch item is a high protein concoction.
    1/2 cup 2% cottage cheese
2-3 oz cooked chicken breast diced and warmed or I also use canned tuna when I'm in a hurry
    1/4-1/2 avocado cubed
    1/2-1 whole roma tomato

Mix it all together! It's 40+ grams of protein and typically around 300 cal depending on your proportion of avocado...... The protein keeps me full till dinner and the mixture of texture and warm to cold leaves me more satisfied than a cold salad.
