It depends on you and how aggressive you want to be with your weight loss. Can you live on the amount of calories that you are given on a 2lb a week loss? If not, you may want to loose at a slower pace and choose 1lb a week.0

No, 2 lbs a week is too hard for me
I've tried & failed many a times on 2 lbs loss, I aimed for 1.5 lbs a week for now, & it gives me almost 1700 calories a day, I think I can stick with that
Is it alright if it comes off slower? Like, is that a good weight loss per week? 1.5 lbs?

just run on the treadmill for 1 hour and half 6 days a week and eat very healthy u should burn approximately 1020 calories power walking on 3.8 mph then run on 4.5 you might even lose more than one pound a week probably 5lb a week hope this helps0

I would aim for 1lb a week. This way you don't get discouraged if you don't make your goal of 2-1.5lbs.
and be easy on yourself if you only lose .5lb or whatever that week everybody responds differently to working out and diet change.0 -
I say if you can manage happily on the calories for 2lb go with that, if not try 1.5lb loss. You'll find the right goal for you and make it work.
I have mine set to 2lb a week loss and I've lost 22lb in 5 weeks, eating as close to 1200 net as I can get without feeling sick.
Losing weight slowly is fine, if you lose it too quickly you are more likely to gain it all back.0 -
I've been doing 1lb a week for the past 3 month and find it to be very encouraging. I tend to meet if not exceed my expectations each week and if I plateau then it's only 1 pound so it "could just be water weight". I think that 1lb a week is a great starting point and if your feeling motivated then feel free to step it up. The great thing about this program is that you can change your goals at any time. If you find that 2lbs is too much then cut back.

I am set at 1.5 pounds. I have lost ~17 in 5 weeks or so. This seems like a good goal for me. If I eat less than about 1450 calories I feel nauseated. So I try to keep it around 1500 if I am not exercising and around 1800 if I am exercising (and eating more if I need it, but staying in calorie goal).
I think it is easier to start with a less agressive goal, and then up it when you've got it handled. What's your regular calorie intake? I found I was eating between 2000-2200 on most days. I attempted to do a 3 week cleanse (killing meat, dairy and wheat) at the first of the year. Let's just say the first day I felt OK and ate around 1100 calories. The second day my body rebelled, craved beef and I ate spaghetti. I ended up eating around 1400 for the rest of the week. I pretty much abandoned the whole thing in week 2. But it was helpful, as I have stayed fairly close to my calorie goal of 1700 for most of the year to date. And the benefit of the cleanse was I found that I generally feel pretty stuffed after about 450 calories.
So take it slow!0 -

Stay at what you are doing, but if that doesn't seem like enough I would recommend going to 1lb a week loss. Best of luck to you.0 -
