Anyone ever had to deal with this nasty little bugger before? I am trying not to let it stop me from being physical, but its rough. Especially in the mornings. So far I am using ice and naproxen and mild stretching with some luck, but its slowing me down just a bit. It doesn't hurt me too bad during my cardio, but running is tougher than my Gazelle. but when I am DONE...woah.

Thoughts?

Just a minor bump in the road thats not going to stop me. :)

  • Hi! I have plantar fasciitis. I got it when I trained for a marathon. I saw a foot doctor because every morning it hurt so bad to walk. He had me walk as little as possible, I froze water in a bottle and ran my foot over it everyday, and he prescribed piroxicam (it is an anti-inflamatory drug). I now have no problems as long as I take the drug everyday. I can do anything.

I had it and went to the Podiatrist and he gave me a cortisone shot and the pain went away in like a week.

I had a very bad case of plantar fasciitis and was given an even worse doctor recommendation. he recommended surgery and orthopedics which i didn't need. the orthopedics actually made it a lot worse. forced me to stay off my feet because of the insane amount of pain i was in.
I eventually got Extracorporeal shockwave therapy (ESWT) to the plantar fasciitis Now I can walk and burn calories Pain free. tight calf muscles are the major cause of plantar fasciitis. make sure to stretch out your calf muscles.
