Has anyone done it or doing it? I started last summer and never actually finished. I found by week 4 I was able to push myself to jog 20 minutes straight without finishing the plan. But then I injured my knee and stopped for months so I'm back at it again. I'm on week 4 and even just doing the 5 minutes suck lol I have no idea how I did 20 minutes at this point

  • I started this a couple weeks before I started P90X2....I got to week 3, and now what I have started to do is integrate a run day into one of my days off. I am about to start on week 4 run this Sunday.
Maybe since it has been a while try integrating some spin classes in or if you like to bicycle outside this will strengthen the muscle's for your run.

Hey! I'm in your boat! Got injured in June and I'm now back to the very beginning. I had to take EIGHT MONTHS off. (And I was furious!) I'm on week3 day 2 of c25k.
I have had huge success adding weight training as I've begun to run again. Apparently my "posterior chain" was virtually non-existant. :-p
Add me if you want! I've got a 5k in march, a half marathon in October, and a full in January 2013. :-) fingers crossed!

I downloaded it on my ipod, but never used it...............is it worth starting? Does anybody know?
  • I think it's worth starting if you've never ran before or if you're getting over an injury like I am. It starts you out at a good pace and slowly builds you up. I know tons of people who have never ran in their life start it and now are avid runners because of it. Good luck if you do it!

Most definitely worth it. I went from being a non-runner in October to running a 5K in December. I have done five 5k races now and am training for a 10K in March. In fact, tomorrow is my first 60 minutes run (W6D1 B210K)

I just completed week 4 day 2. I love c25k! I like going the distances a lot better than the time. I feel like it pushes me more? I have had a knee problem since birth. The elliptical (that's not the 3 in 1....) works for me. It doesn't put stress or shock on my knee from walking/jogging/running on a hard surface like a treadmill or the sidewalk. I'm trying to strengthen it so that when I can jog/run comfortably, I can go and enjoy the outside air!

I finished it last month and continue to run every other day with my dog. Stick with it , it really is a great program. This coming from someone that hated running in high school and didn't run another mile since graduation over 25 years ago.

I started and finished it between October - January - with a week off in the middle due to a bad cold, and some time lost because of Christmas When I started I couldn't have jogged for 5 minutes, now I jog three times a week for 30 mins regularly, even though I've finished the app. Because I still need to lose 66lbs (it was 91lbs when I started) I jog slow - about 6.8 kph (I think that's just over 4mph) but - hey - I'm doing it.

Due to the cold snap here I've switched to jogging on a treadmill in the gym. I've decided I prefer thisfor one major reason. My pedometer said I was jogging at 6.4 kph. On the treadmill I can force the pace a little and ceratinly sweat a whole lot more :)

So for me it worked - and it worked best for me when I combined it with an arm strap and bluetooth headphones, and a lot of the right music. I once did it without music (won't bore you with why) and my timing was noticably down.

I agree I love it!!!! I finished mine and then downloaded the C210K! I ended up starting the 30DS right after the c25k and now I am regreting it because I have to go back now to some of the c25k before moving on to the c210k so I don't get hurt! And let me say I AM NOT A RUNNER~ I have DD's and I am still fairly heavy with baby weight and the thought that Week 1 day 1 was going to kill me!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I now know that if I can do it anyone who really wants to can! Good luck to all ~~~~~~~~~~
