Does anyone have one of those balance ball / stability ball chairs that they use in the office? I'm thinking of getting one, but wanted to get some recommendations. What has your experience been?

I have considered it myself as well.
The ladies at my nail salon use them all day everyday and love them!0 -

I have one. I like mine. I am not sure it helps any but I can surely tell the difference when I sit in a regular chair. I tend to get lazy in a normal office chair. In fact, I had to take my normal office chair out of the office because it was to tempting to sit in it.0

I haven't been able to find one tall enough to reach my desk yet, I have tried 2...0

the hygenists at my dentist office use them and I have gotten mixed reviews some say they are great and help their backs. My dentist can't stand them he says he feels like he is going to fly right out of it or fall over. Who knows really I guess its personal preference.0

I've been thinking about bringing my bigger ball as well... they also make chairs where the seat is a bosu/stability ball like thing...0

I have a stability ball for my desk chair. I got one from Gaiam that has a lift and a rolls. I have found it to be very comfortable and I do think it has helped with my core strength, plus, if nothing else, it keeps you focused, can't doze off on top of a ball!

I like it because it's bouncy instead of spinny. Haven't really felt any benefits from sitting on it. I have started working out with it and that has helped.0

I have a ball at my desk at home (home computer used mostly for MFP, facebook, emails, etc.) and I love sitting on it, but haven't been brave enough to bring one to the office. Although, I have a really nice supportive chair here at work.0

I was thinking of getting one myself. In fact I just was joking about replacing my couch at home with a few!0

I used one for a while and probably should again. In theory it is a great thing though I didn't use it long enough to see the benefits.
It's the "instability" of the ball (teally of you on the ball) that makes it work. As you sit on it, gravity is pulling you side to side, front to back, and your core muscles are constantly engaged in keeping your balance.
Plus you can just do some crunches whenever the mood strikes you.0
