Due to an accidental grocery purchase, having to make a birthday treat for a co-worker on a restricted diet, and a brain storm I came up with this recipe and made it last night. Everyone who likes these flavors together is raving over this cake. It's a take on a German Black Forest cake which is typically dark chocolate cake, liqueured cherries, and heavy whipped cream.

1 - Duncan Hines dark chocolate cake mix (or any other brand, but needs to be DARK chocolate)
1 - 12oz can cherry Coke Zero

Mix the above items together with a spatula until all mix is wet and few lumps remain. Bake in a greased 13x9 pan at 350 degrees for 35-45 minutes.

Top with Cool Whip (1 8oz container - regular) and cut canned & drained bing or sweet cherries (about 1 cup - NOT pie filling). Refrigerate overnight.

I cut this into 24 servings, and each serving is approx 100 calories. YUMMO!
