Protein Shakes Powder - Vegetable

Options
I am starting to do fruit smoothies at home but wanted to add a protein powder that has a lot of vegetable benefits. Do they make such a thing? Suggestions?

Thanks!

Not sure they have plant based protein but they do make green drinks with very little protein...

    I use this one: http://www.amazon.com/Garden-Life-Organic-Protein-Gram/dp/B0031JK96C/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1328652996&sr=8-1

Usually get it from Whole Foods but might start ordering it from Amazon unless WF price gets better.

Do you mean fortified with vitamins and minerals?
You're already getting a huge boost of vitamins and minerals just making a fruit smoothie so if you're not after the protein shakes for the protein, then use a meal replacement powder instead.
Or just take a multivitamin at the same time as the fruit smoothie.

There are many plant-based protein powders. Not sure if there's much else there besides highly processed protein. There are green powders you can add to the shake to fortify it with micronutrients. Again both are highly processed and stabilized and preserved for the shelf. It's something for sure. I don't know if they're really as good as the products claim. Certainly no where as good as fresh.

I recently found something called Nature's Sunshine Ultimage Greenzone that I'm adding to my protein shakes. Just one scoops has 7 grams of protein. You could really add it to anything or just add it to water and drink alone. It's full of lots of spirulina, algea and a lot of other things. It's good tasting too.

This is what I add in if I am on the go and need to ensure my nutrition.

Check out the ingredients for the Juice Plus complete. I have been taking and selling the juice plus capsules for 2 years with wonderful results and will be adding this shake into my routine. Send me a note if you want more info on ordering I would love to help. The Complete also has a very good flavor which I have found hard to find.

I agree Rachel, I use Complete for mostly fruit smoothies. We also have a Complete no bake cookie recipe in which you basically add raw honey and peanut butter to the chocolate Complete mix. Kids go crazy over the healthy snack.

Someone else told me about this website:

    http://www.truenutrition.com

you can customize your protein sources, vitamins, minerals etc.

Apart from soy, you can get hemp, gemma pea, and brown rice protein powders
