Labor Day Challenge

Howdy All...

Labor Day is 13 weeks from today. I just wanted to see if anyone was interested in doing a challenge between now and then??? I want to lose 30 lbs before then. I know there are a lot of challenges going, but I thought a longer term one would keep me more on track....anyone else interested in losing 30lbs by Labor Day??

    Hey you should check out hundredpushups.com its a 3x a week strengh training 6 week+ challeng to get stronger! they have the 100pushups 200situps and 200squats challenges!

    Are we going to do any daily challenges, like drink 8 glasses of water today, no sweets today..etc?
  • I think the 8 glasses of water is great! Im in on that! and Im doing the 100push up M,W &F with the 200 sit ups challanges!

    And 6 days a week 60 minutes of exersize including cardio or whatever I can work in!!

    Hey you should incorporate a weekly goal (run 4 miles..ect). Just to make things more fun

    Yeah! :drinker: I'm glad I suggested it!!
    As far as daily goals go....for me, I try to get a gallon of water a day, and its going to be my goal to FINALLY stick to my daily calories...I'll do good for 3 days, and then I slip up...so I'm going to try to stick with it for the long haul...:bigsmile: I do Turbo Jam, so I'm going to make a goal of doing that 5 times a week.
    Doitforbaby, I'm going to check out that 100push up thing. I've seen the thread, but never looked into it. Thanks!!

    My ultimate goal is to be under 150lbs, so if I make this goal of hitting 159.5 by Labor Day, then I'm gonna be GOLDEN! :tongue:

    I think this is a GREAT suggestion...some people can't run...so maybe working out 4 at least days a week. Maybe we can put smiles by the weeks, one smiles for each workout. Thoughts??

    that sounds great, having that little goal to meet every week should help the long term goal.

    Wow Sister, that 100 pushup challenge looks intense!! I'm totally going to do it...FROM MY KNEES...but it looks good! Thanks!! :)
  • I started it today I did the push up the sit ups and the squats. it felt great. you really go at your own pace i love it!
    I think it will really help tone my body and burn more fat!::bigsmile:

    So I got up and worked out this morning...it was pretty hard, cause I don't sleep well. But my hubby made me get out of bed (which I asked him to do) and I did 35 min of Turbo Jam! Woot Woot...now I'm going to have a hard time eating enough calories considering I brought fruit and salad to work today...lol.

    Worked out this morning did Ab Jam.
    Last night I did the 100 pushup challenge day one...Yikes, it was hard! :laugh:

    Also, I'm going to challenge myself to run at LEAST 5 miles a day (when I do work out). This will have to either start tomorrow or after my legs recover from the many lunges in my kickboxing class :sick:

    Sorry everyone, I was out of town yesterday. I am down 2.5 lbs this week! Work out really hard and stuck to the diet, which surprised me, didn't think I could do it!
