No cheese?

Hi,

I've decided to give up cheese for Lent because I figured it would be tough because I eat cheese with everything it seems. But as Lent is vastly approaching I realised I eat cheese with EVERYTHING! Pizza, lasagne, pasta, carbonara, sandwiches-cheese cake!!!

Anybody got any recipes that would usually contain cheese but actually don't? (Just a cheese issue- I'm not giving up dairy)

This probably wasn't my greatest idea if I'm honest.

Thanks

Nutritional yeast has a nutty cheese flavor...I made a 'cheese' sauce from it & I really liked it. I googled the recipe. I just found out about nutritional yeast, but apparently there are many uses for it. Good luck :)
  • I too have noticed that cheese is on everything! I don't have much advice except try to lean more towards brothy vegetable soups, salads, and steamed vegis. I will friend you and as I run across yummy cheese-less recipes I can pass them on to you!!! I'm vegetarian so I will search my cookbooks for ya!
