Need to keep heart rate low

I just turned 40. I weigh 250 pounds. I know I should be aiming to lose over 100 pounds but I am quite happy when I am at 175. My main problem currently is that I had a heart attack 6 years ago and my cardiologist wants me to keep my heart rate below 120...how can I effectively exercise to lose the weight while keeping my heart rate that low? Advise? Suggestions?

You will have to compensate with more minutes.
Burning calories depends on Intensity of exercise x body weight x time. If you have to reduce intensity, then you can compensate by just exercising longer.
It would also be helpful to spend some time with an exercise/fitness specialist with a clinical background who can look at the specifics of your medical history and give you more specific ideas.0
